Uform Win at Ireland Kitchen Trade Guide Awards!
01 December 2011
Local County Antrim company Uform welcomed yet another prestigious 2011 kitchen industry accolade when it scooped up the top prize for ‘Best Supplier Showroom 2011’ at the annual Ireland Kitchen Trade Guide Awards, held on Friday 25th November 2011. Celebrated at the Hilton Hotel in Belfast, the ceremony was graced by the top suppliers in the country, providing stiff competition and a true sense of achievement for Uform when the winner was announced. This award comes hot on the heels of the company's recent win for ‘Best Supplier/Distributor’ at the Kitchen Retail Ireland Awards in June, proving that the company continues to grow from strength to strength.
Uform has come a long way since its foundation eighteen years ago. Established by Eddie Donnelly and his sons in 1993, the company has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the country's most recognisable and reliable suppliers to kitchen industry retailers. Based in Toomebridge, Co. Antrim, Uform supplies its superb quality kitchen components throughout Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the UK.
The company's mission statement includes “a commitment to putting the customer at the forefront of all decisions, through a combination of market research and development, ensuring the company supply new and innovative products complete on time, every time.”
Eamon Donnelly, MD of Uform -
“When Uform's showroom was being devised in 2006, the design team was advised to create a footprint that was interactive and inviting, offering customers the opportunity to not only fully understand our products, but to relax in an environment that could be used as their own personal office space. This meant that all displays had to be intriguing and timeless. We wanted the ‘Walt Disney’ of all showrooms, an area with a heartbeat and an atmosphere, as our vision was to evoke a feeling of excitement and delight in all our customers. In 2007, the 7,500 sq ft showroom was launched, with 40 different displays on show. We ensured that careful attention was paid not only to the flow of the space and placement of the displays, but also to the minute details that would highlight all our innovative features, essential when achieving a full understanding of the products. Nothing was left to chance, and winning this award has supported our vision.
In what are challenging times, every company wants to be “easy to do business with” and that is what we continually strive for. What makes the real difference is our people. I am delighted to have a team that understands what satisfying the customer really means. Without happy returning customers, we simply would not be in business. I would like to offer a huge “thank you” to all our customers for their ongoing support and business and to encourage them to avail of our showroom facilities at any time, by appointment. “
