EuroCucina 2026

EuroCucina 2026 highlighted a clear shift in kitchen design, towards warmer, more tactile spaces focused on refinement rather than reinvention.

The exhibition offered a valuable snapshot of the industry, showcasing developments in materials, colours and functionality.

Our team visited Milan to explore the latest trends, with several key themes emerging.

Colour Trends: Warmth Replaces Cool Minimalism

Warm, nature-inspired tones dominated EuroCucina 2026, with taupes, clay shades, terracottas and dusty greens replacing cooler greys. Rich browns, woodgrains and stone textures added depth, while tonal colour schemes created a cohesive, understated look.

The trend reflects a move away from high-contrast statement kitchens towards warmer, more seamless spaces that feel naturally connected to the home.

Natural Woodgrains Add Warmth and Character

Woodgrain finishes were a standout trend across EuroCucina 2026, bringing warmth, texture and character to kitchen spaces. Light oak and ash created bright, airy interiors, while deeper smoked and espresso tones added richness and depth.

Often paired with complementary colours and materials, wood was used to create layered, natural designs that feel both timeless and versatile. Its widespread use reflects growing demand for kitchens that balance visual warmth with everyday practicality.

Texture and Material Choices Continue to Grow

Texture was a defining theme this year, with reeded and fluted surfaces adding depth and character to minimalist designs. Stone-effect finishes remained popular, while metallic accents appeared in softer, more coordinated schemes.

Advances in engineered materials are also making it easier to replicate the look and feel of natural wood, stone and metal. The continued focus on texture reflects growing demand for tactile, layered interiors that enhance both the look and feel of the kitchen.

Familiar Door Styles Continue to Evolve

Many of the most popular door styles remain firmly established, with innovation focused on materials, finishes and detailing rather than entirely new designs. Micro Shaker and classic Shaker styles featured prominently, while advances in foil technology are delivering increasingly authentic painted finishes.

Handleless kitchens also remain popular, with integrated profiles and routed details offering fresh interpretations. Glazed doors with fluted, reeded and tinted glass were widely used to add visual interest and break up larger cabinetry runs, demonstrating how familiar styles continue to evolve to meet changing design preferences.

Curves Bring Softness to Modern Kitchens

Curved details were a prominent feature at EuroCucina 2026, helping to create softer, more welcoming kitchen spaces. Rounded feature posts, curved island ends and furniture-inspired detailing introduced a more sculptural feel while adding visual interest.

This growing use of curves reflects a wider shift towards kitchens that feel less purely functional and more connected to the overall living space.

Storage Becomes More Personalised

The Storage solutions that were showcased reflected the growing demand for kitchens tailored to individual lifestyles. Manufacturers showcased specialist drawer systems, innovative under-sink storage and accessible larder solutions designed to maximise organisation and usability.

Timber accents within internal storage added warmth and a premium feel, while dedicated wine and glass storage highlighted the kitchen’s role as both a practical workspace and social hub. The trend points towards greater emphasis on functionality, accessibility and everyday convenience.

Lighting Moves Further Into the Spotlight

Lighting played a central role this year, with integrated solutions designed to enhance both functionality and atmosphere. Feature shelf lighting, under-cabinet illumination and sensor-controlled cabinet lighting were widely showcased throughout the exhibition.

Integrated lighting within handleless rail systems also featured prominently, highlighting materials and architectural details while creating a more refined overall design. The trend reflects lighting’s growing importance as both a practical and aesthetic feature within the modern kitchen.

Looking Ahead

EuroCucina 2026 highlighted a clear preference for kitchens that combine warmth, functionality and enduring design. From natural materials and tactile textures to personalised storage and integrated lighting, the trends on display focused on creating spaces that are both practical and inviting.

Together these developments reflect a more considered approach to kitchen design, where comfort, usability and timeless appeal take precedence over short-lived trends.
