Bigshotte Court with Windmill Projects Ltd
Uform is pleased to have supported Windmill Projects Ltd in the supply of kitchen ranges for 6 new homes in the village of Crowthorne in Berkshire, South England.
Windmill Projects Ltd sought to provide modern yet timeless kitchen designs that enhanced the appeal of the new residential homes at Bigshotte Court. The primary objective was to achieve a refined aesthetic that combined both functionality and style, while maintaining a high standard of quality in materials and finishes.
Uform’s Ellesmere range proved to be the perfect choice for Bigshotte Court, thanks to its smooth painted finish with a subtle 15% sheen, a stylish in-frame effect shaker design, and a versatile palette of 32 Paint To Order (PTO) colours. The kitchens were finished in a carefully chosen palette of Mussell and Shell – two soft, matte tones that created a timeless contrast, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the development. With a door thickness of 18mm and manufactured from high-tension MDF, Ellesmere offers the refined appearance of a true inframe door at a more accessible price point. Elegant, beaded panelling adds character throughout, featured on the island units, end gables of the main cabinetry and above the hob canopy. Open shelving was also incorporated into the main kitchen areas, enhancing both functionality and style, with a refined, contemporary touch.
Windmill Projects Ltd enhanced the sense of space in the kitchen by choosing plain glazed frame doors from the Ellesmere range for the wall cabinetry. The transparent design allows light to flow more freely, creating a brighter and more open feel. This feature was complemented by an integrated pelmet, adding a seamless and refined finish to the overall look.
“Partnering with Uform was an easy decision for us. Our client was seeking to achieve the elegant in-frame look that Uform’s Ellesmere range provides, along with a high-quality finish that is essential for modern living. The flexibility offered by Uform’s Colour Match Service (CMS) initially stood out to our client, as it allowed for the aesthetic to be more tailored, but in the end, we opted for Uform’s Paint to Order (PTO) Mussell and Shell colour options, which gave us the perfect combination for this project. Uform’s commitment to excellence in materials and innovative design solutions has made them an invaluable partner in delivering beautiful and functional kitchens that appeal to today’s homeowners.”
Utilising Uform’s Ellesmere range, Windmill Projects Ltd fitted their own solid 18mm Truffle Brown carcasses, complemented by elegant brass knobs and cup handles. Utility areas also featured matching shelves supported by stylish brass brackets. Each kitchen was topped with a 20mm quartz work surface with Ogee edging, along with matching upstands, windowsills, and splashbacks for a cohesive look. High-end Siemens appliances, including ovens, a combi steamer, induction hobs, and dishwashers, were installed, with utility rooms featuring washing machines and tumble dryers. A highlight of each kitchen is the Villeroy & Boch ceramic double Belfast sink matched with a Quooker Fusion boiling tap in Patinated Brass, merging functionality and style seamlessly.
